5 Professional Blow Dryers Reviewed

I have never been a fan of making my own hair. Its time consuming and I never seem to get the shiny, soft hair as when blow-dried by a professional. Until recently, I was convinced this was because they are, well, professionals and I am just an amateur. All this was before I was introduced to the Elchim 3900 by Oomphed! After using this dryer, I decided to take a closer look at the top professional blow dryers and hopefully help someone who is as lost as I was.

  1. Elchim 3900 hair dryer

As far as high-end dryers go, the Elchim is not too expensive at $189. The manufacturer did a top-notch job at designing this dryer. The airflow and heat switches, positioned on the side makes it very easy to use. You are able to switch setting without having to change your grip on the handle. The weight of the dryer is distributed evenly. You never feel any strain on your wrists or forearms when you are drying your hair. It has an amazing force of 2400w that is directed perfectly to ensure your hair does not blow all over the place. The airflow cuts down on dry time and leaves your hair smooth and silky. Even in the hottest settings, it never gets insanely hot! Even with the frizziest of hairs, this blow dryer will make your hair smooth and soft in less than 6 minutes without needing to flat iron it after. I would recommend this product to anyone with thick hair and able to afford it

  1. T3 Featherweight 2 Dryer

This hair dryer works a bit differently than other dryers. It has a specially engineered fan, which, according to the manufacturer, generates a high volume of ion-enriched air that exits the blow dryer in a wide cone shape, which dries large portions of hair – fast. This dryer is perfect for thin hair, with its wattage at 1800w. It does not take away on the volume of the hair. It adds a shine and softens up the hair in less than 7 minutes. This dryer provides the kind of care needed for ‘fine’ hair. It costs $180 + free shipping.

  1. Centrix Q Zone Quiet 1500 Watt Tourmaline Ceramic Ionic Hair Dryer

This hair dryer is insanely quiet. You are able to hold conversations or listen to music while you dry your hair. It has wattage of 1500w and is perfect for drying thin hair, short hair, and children’s hair. It does not get crazy hot so your child will not be shying away from you due to the heat. In the highest heat setting, it can dry short hair in less than 4 minutes. The weight of the dryer is distributed evenly making it easy to handle. It costs $99.70& free shipping.

  1. Panasonic EH-NA65-K Smooth & Shiny Hair Dryer with Nanoe Technology

Although it looks like it weights a lot, this dryer is surprisingly light and easy to handle. This product has a nanoe technology that ensures it dries your hair without drying it out. How you might ask? Well, the technology takes the moisture from your hair and the surrounding air and uses it to create moisture rich particles small enough to penetrate the roots of your hair. These particles help strengthen and protect your hair from heat and the constant brushing. The controls are located along the handle and are very easy to use. One switch controls the temperature (cool, warm, and hot) while the other switch controls the airflow (High or low). The nanoe comes with 3 set of nozzles, a set nozzle for precise styling, a quick dry for drying hair fast, and a diffuser for creating full volume hair with styling. This dryer features a 9-foot cord making it the perfect professional hair dryer (you can easily dry your customers’ hair even if they are not near the power socket). It has a force of 1875w and costs $99.99 & free shipping.

  1. Infiniti Pro by Conair Full Size Salon Performance AC Motor Dryer

This dryer has a powerful salon performance AC motor that gives you up to 50% faster drying time. It features 1875w and comes with 3 heat settings and 2 speed settings. Do not be fooled by the price. It is on the cheap side but holds its own. It can dry hair much faster than some of the higher priced hairdryers. It costs $29.50 and weighs 2.3 pounds (very light and easy to handle without straining). If you are looking for a cheap professional dryer, this is the dryer for you.

If you are like me, you have gone through years of using an okay blow dryer, which yes, dries your hair but leaves it a bit frizzy. The minute you try these professional blow dryer which have been approved by Oomphed! And professional hairstylists, you will realize just how much you have been missing out. Give them a go and you will see the immediate changes in your hair.
